Cor Malus Stained Glass Ornament

$80

Small hand painted stained glass ornament inspired by the sacred heart. A metal sword, crown of gilded glass thorns, and glass bead accents round out the gothic vibes.

This piece contains lead solder

Lead is not harmful unless ingested. Out of an abundance of caution, I like to warn people to keep this art out of reach of pets and children. Only clean with soft or microfiber cloths, and always wash your hands after handling. Probably don’t use it as a charcuterie board, but I’m not your keeper.

Size: 3.25” L x 2.25” W
Comes with black metal hanging chain.
Hang this sacred heart inspired piece in your haunted abode. I think it does best in the window or near a lamp, because this particular glass practically glows with some light behind it. I really love the shadow effect the brass halo/crown creates.

Red, off-white and yellow swirled stained glass. Glass bead cones with gold leaf. Flat wire metal sword. Czech glass bead droplets. Gold leaf accents. Enamel glass paint. A lot of trial and error.

When I found this glass, it BEGGED to be turned into anatomical hearts. Obviously heavily inspired by the sacred heart symbol, I wanted to make my own twist on them and maybe process some recent personal events through THE MAJESTY AND SPLENDOR OF ART.

I experimented with enamel paints by baking them onto the glass before breaking them into pieces. I wanted to see just how far I could push soldering to create a more sculptural artwork with the Tiffany method.
