Cor Medeor Stained Glass Sculptural Panel

$250

Hand painted stained glass sculptural panel with pressed Hellebore and Yarrow, and wired glass bead accents. Rounding out the journey of this sacred heart collection, a piece representing resilience and healing. One of a kind- I’ll never make another.

This piece contains lead solder

Lead is not harmful unless ingested. Out of an abundance of caution, I like to warn people to keep this art out of reach of pets and children. Only clean with soft or microfiber cloths, and always wash your hands after handling. Probably don’t use it as a charcuterie board, but I’m not your keeper.

Size: 5.5” L x 4.5” W
The idea for this piece actually came to me in a dream. I know when artists say that, people are like, “Oh yeah, sure, whatever…” but it really, really did. A lot of research, preparation and time went into this panel. The flowers and leaves were gathered and pressed by me.

Red, off-white and yellow swirled stained glass. Hellebore and Yarrow pressed botanicals. Glass beads on hand-shaped wire vines. Clear glass cabochon. Enamel glass paint. A lot of trial and error.

Hellebore is one of my favorite plants, associated with pain, strength and adaptability, as it thrives in the cold and blooms during winter. Yarrow is a beautiful medicinal plant used for inflammation, stopping bleeding and supporting the feverish body. It is comforting and the ultimate healer.
I wanted this piece to evoke a sense of hope and repair after the sacred heart’s suffering. To me, it represents that feeling of solace when you finally make it through something that really felt neverending, and can begin growing and flourishing again.
