Glowing Acid Potion C

$75

Hand painted stained glass sun-catcher – UV reactive glow-in-the-dark paint, uranium glass bead droplet

This piece contains lead solder

Lead is not harmful unless ingested. Out of an abundance of caution, I like to warn people to keep this art out of reach of pets and children. Only clean with soft or microfiber cloths, and always wash your hands after handling. Probably don’t use it as a charcuterie board, but I’m not your keeper.

Size: 8″ L x 5″ W

Comes with gunmetal hanging chain.

The paint is on the reverse side, so its glow is best seen by hanging in a window to charge via sunlight. You can also hang on the wall near a UV or blacklight bulb for a more muted effect in the green areas.

Clear and acid green glass. Beads are vintage Czech uranium glass strung on wire. Paint is clear enamel paint, tinted with green ink and mixed with UV reactive AND glow-in-the-dark pigment. Will be activated by sunlight exposure or UV light bulbs.
**Note that the uranium glass beads only glow when exposed to UV light.

I wanted to make a sun catcher that looks just as cool when the sun goes down. I experimented with different materials on this one, milling my own enamel paint with UV/glow pigments and alcohol ink. This piece is perfect for that unhinged alchemist lab vibe, or just… for a cool space. Look how shiny and glow-y!
